Having Oily Skin Can Be Very Annoying

Facial oily skin can be extremely frustrating and depressing to have to put up with. Everybody's skin produces some oil, this is a normal part of bodily function and without it the skin would become too dry. If you want to control your oily facial skin then the following simple tips will help you banish that excessive oil from your face.

It is very tempting to wash your skin with a cleanser every time you see oil build up on the surface. However, this is definitely not what you should be doing, as stripping your skin of all its oils will cause further imbalances, resulting in more oil being produced, and worse facial oily skin. Basically, water helps to regulate your skin and keep it properly moisturized, as well as flushing out bad toxins that would have otherwise entered the pores of your skin.


Firstly, we have to analyze the reasons for having an oily skin. Secretion of sebum in excess quantities by oil glands is the main cause for oily skin. Accumulation of sebum makes the skin texture heavy and thick, the result, greasy or oily feeling. This excessive secretion, when not taken care of, results in shiny skin and causes blemishes and pimples.

This type of skin which has active oil glands tends to age slower than other types. The oily skin, if not treated, will lead to blackheads and builds dead skin cells, rendering the skin difficult to maintain. There is no quick solution to oily skin. Treating oil skin needs a little patience and perseverance since it takes some time to treat. The problem of oily skin has to be treated internally and may need professional medical help. In most cases oily skin is controlled but not

resolved.

Treatment of oily skin involves removal of excess sebum without drying up the skin. Also avoid emollients containing butter extracts and mineral oils as they will only help to replenish the oil content in your skin.

Oily skin is further aggravated by starch, processed food and sugar. Creating a glowing and non-oily skin is a time consuming process and the results are long lasting. Due to glands getting over active, hormonal changes, diet, improper skincare, genes etc - we experience excessive oily skin.

Many skincare products contain chemicals to reduce sebum but causes over dryness of the skin and un-wanted allergies. Organic products are good for the skin as they also contain natural substances as active ingredients. Touching your face a lot is one cause of pimples. When you touch your face with oily or dirty hands, you irritate your face. Another junk foods and fast foods are another cause of pimples. Oily skin is another cause of pimples. Having oily skin will cause your pores to clog. If you have dry skin, try drinking plenty of water.
